-frozen pineapple & blueberries
-1 scoop Sun Warrior Vanilla Protein Powder
-1 packet Amazing Grass Wheatgrass Powder
-2 tsp Crystal Manna Powder
-1 1/2 cups water

This smoothie left me satisfied and glowing! I had no idea the benefits of Crystal Manna Powder until Ancient Sun Nutrition sent me some samples of the product.

Wow, all that for a tiny bit of flavorless powder to put in a smoothie? I'm in! I could taste a "green" taste at all! Along with those products, I also received the two flavors of WildBar!
*I totally lost the picture for the bars so I had to use the ones from the website!*The Mountain Mint flavor was surprisingly my favorite. I usually don't like mint anything but this was so delicious. When I opened it, it was cracked into a couple large pieces. I didn't mind this since I always break my bars apart anyway. I also noticed a lovely whiff of mint as soon as I opened the bar. The exterior was hard yet when I bit into it, the inside was creamy and rich. At first I thought, healthy Thin Mint cookie! The deep chocolate flavor paired perfectly with the hint of mint. I also loved the crunchy nuts, which made it taste like a Crunch candy bar. I really enjoyed this flavor and will buy it in the store once I can find it. The nutritionals are amazing too. It has a decent amount of protein and fiber, and low sugar (which is hard to find in bars). I would give it a 5/5.
The Mayan Spice flavor had the same texture and deep chocolate flavor that I love. I just felt it could have been spicier. I really like a kick in my spicy chocolate bars and I found this one a little dull. Other than that, I loved it! I highly recommend these bars! They are organic, raw, kosher, and vegan and have many superfood benefits in them. Who doesn't like healthy food that tastes good?!
I got a chance to hit up the Farmer's Market and Trader Joe's today, which made the day even better. At the Farmer's Market I got radishes, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, butter lettuce, OKRA (I FOUND IT!), purple peppers, and zucchini. I forgot to snap a picture but you will be seeing everything in upcoming meals anyway. I did get a picture of my TJ's haul. From left to right: Sprouted Grain Bread, broccoli, frozen pineapple, Blue Corn Tortilla Chips (so addicting!), sunflower seeds (great source of vitamins and minerals), 3-layer Hummus (which I haven't had in forever), organic Gala apples, Southern Greens Mix, and Light Coconut Milk. I'm not straying from raw meals, I was just craving some certain products and I'm not going to deny myself. Hummus will be a treat since I don't digest beans very well, and the tortilla chips looked too good to resist.
After working out, I came downstairs to a package at the door. It was from one of the sweetest and most loving blogger I know, Caroline. She got me a cute little card, the new Larabars (which I am totally using on oats!), and a little Buddha the represents happiness. The Buddha is my absolute favorite part of the package, I will carry it everywhere I go! Thank you so much Caroline! <3
A week ago, Nora posted a meal that looked so delicious I just had to make it myself. These Ginger-Miso Yam Wraps were AMAZING!!! I changed up the recipe to fit what ingredients I had but the main ingredients are sweet potatoes, peanut butter, and miso. I would have never thought to mush those together, but oh what a heavenly combination that was! Halfway through my meal I pretty much ditched the wraps and just ate the filling! If you want to see the changes I made to the recipe, I would be happy to post, just let me know.

-carrots
-okra
-broccoli
-purple pepper
-cucumber
-avocado
-3-layer hummus
It was fantastic! I've missed hummus on salads and the ketchup was the perfect replacement for BBQ sauce. I really liked the okra too, which had a somewhat slimy texture on the inside. I think I'll cook it next time and see how I like it them too.
Tomorrow I have to go to registration at the high school because I go back to school in 19 days! Yikes! I'm actually looking forward to next year though, senior year baby!

I LOVE Wild Bars - the Mayan Spice is definitely my favorite flavor.
What a lovely package from Caroline!!
Oh wow, those yam wraps look stellar!
Wow, I've never even heard of that powder. I'm gonna be sad when my Amazing Grass runs out - it's so expensive.
Your wraps look soooo good. I'm bookmarking them.
You're going to have an awesome senior year :) I loved senior year of high school.
I for sure have to find some of that ketchup! So excited to taste it for myself!
Wow, Shelby, you're like the master of crazy smoothie supplement powders if I don't say so myself! And the blue corn tortilla chips look really good! I wanna make nachos with them!
I'm so glad you like the wraps, I was really surprised at how good the sweet potatoes were with just the miso and PB too. I might mash the 3 together more often as a lazy meal! It looks like you subbed corn for edamame at least, so there's one substitution I can guess!
The Wild Bars are my absolute FAVORITE things to eat lately. I'm obsessed!
I'm so jealous you have a trader joes :( Your buys & eats look fab! have an awesome day :)

laras on oats is so good! and i tried that raw bar in the mountain mint flavor once. it really did taste like a thin mint! i loved the low sugar content too. that's why i love the green tea bars that i eat before i work out in the mornings. they only have 2g of sugar each. and it's an all natural japanese sweetener called konnyaku. anyway, here i am rambling on. once again i love ALL of your eats, girl! and i'm majorly jealous that you're going to get to eat a second pb & j lara before i even find ONE! :-P
I spy Faux-zekiel :D I haven't had that bread in so long! Should have picked up a loaf today.
Healthy food that tastes good?! That's always a plus! Those bars sound good!!

So, it looks like maybe you got a little more sleep! Your salad looks so good! I can't hang with you on the okra though! It is too slimy and I have bad memories of my childhood choking it down. It gets really slimy when you cook it! Good luck!
Have you seen the red okra? Supposedly it is A-MAZING!
That would be awesome if you could post the recipe for those delicious looking wraps! I definitely want to try them! Have a great rest of the summer! It went by so fast, didn't it?

You always introduce me to such amazing products and ideas that I've never heard of!
yay for happy days! and i've never even seen Wild Bars before, thanks for the review! :-)
So much good stuff in this post Shelby! I'm SUPER jealous you got the new Larabars, but I can't wait to see them in your oats & what you think of them! I love the green monster, too - that stuff sound ridiculous! And by ridiculous I mean totally awesome. I can only find frozen okra around here - but I'll be keeping an eye out for it in Farmer's Markets. But I know what you mean about it being slimy! Haha!
Enjoy your day beautiful!
Love always,
Meg
I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Great Trader Joe's picks. :) I love that store, as well as Whole Foods and practically any other health foods store that caters to vegans. Haha
I sign up for school today, too. School starts in one week :O
But, I am very anxious...senior year for me too!!! :D
Take care and keep adding to your awesome blog!
Katie
senior year! what a great time! love all the pics of your food and i am always envious of your salads.
Shelby, you wild woman. I've never heard of anybody eating raw okra! I love it, but never ate it raw. I grew up eating it in season. I've been meaning to try it roasted, as shown on the vegan lunchbox blogspot, atop some curried black eyed peas. But none of that is raw, is it.
Don't you just love thoughtful little gifts from good friends? The Buddha is a nice addition.
What a cute little Buddha! Raw okra? Can't say I've tried that...but...maybe one day??
I really want to try that Mountain Mint Wild Bar. Looks yummy!
Oh my gosh, that wrap looks like heaven!! I have to try it soon.
